About the producer: This up-and-coming winery is located in Tomelloso, in the La Mancha region of Spain. Its owner and winemaker, Elías Montero, learned the art of red wine production under Mariano García, the former winemaker at the renowned Vega Sicilia winery. In 2018, Montero was selected by the wine magazine Decanter as one of the 10 winemakers changing the world of Spanish wine. The name "VERUM," which means "truth" in Latin, reflects the Lopez Montero family's long-standing commitment to being true to the land and to everything they do. Their love for the rich land naturally led them to organic farming, with a desire to fully harness the potential of the land. While respecting tradition, they actively embrace effective new technologies, which contributes to their pursuit of "truth."
