In the solo exhibition "Abandoned Mirror" at Gallery Nomaru from March to April 2024, I showcased a series of monotype works centered around the theme of mirrors. Monotype is a printmaking technique where an image painted on a glass or acrylic plate is transferred to paper, creating a single print that appears as a mirrored image, reversed from left to right. I initially found it challenging to reconcile the deep significance of the word "mirror" with the lightness of the finished pieces. However, after more than six months of dedicated effort, I completed around 130 works, including this one.
