This print series marks a return after 14 years since the last printmaking project in 2004. Titled grain, this work features subtle colors that are actually made up of numerous color particles. True to its name, grain, the layers of ink particles overlap to create a rich expression of colors and tones, reminiscent of particles of light.
The images formed by the layers of ink particles are unpredictable, defying computer simulations conducted in advance. After two years of experimentation in collaboration with the print workshop Normal Edition, the project was completed. Comprising a total of seven prints, special attention was given to texture, incorporating foamed ink in certain areas to enhance the graininess and showcase the workshop's technical expertise in intricate details.
